Modelling bivariate failure time data via bivariate extended Chen distribution

Abstract Fatal Shock, competing risks and stress models are utilized in reliability survival analysis to characterize various application types. In this context, paper aimed introduce a new class of bivariate distribution based on the Marshall–Olkin type. The proposed termed as Bivariate Extended Chen (BEC) so that marginals have distribution. Some properties derived explained. BEC parameters estimated using maximum likelihood method. Finally, two applications real life highlight significance adaptability offers superior fit than different distributions, illustrating its flexibility applicability modelling.
